Antigone na h’Éireann (2018)

We’re delighted to announce that our Fringe 2018 production will be:

Antigone na h’Éireann

A brand new adaptation of the ancient Greek myth transports the story to 2019 and sets it in post-Troubles Northern Ireland in the wake of a hard-border Brexit, where the threat of dissident terrorist groups still lingers. It takes inspiration from both the famous Sophocles play and other versions of the tale.

The show will be performed at
the Edinburgh Fringe
from
4th-26th August 2018 (excl. 12th & 19th)
6pm (approx) at Paradise in the Vault.

We will also be returning for 3-5 performances to the Buxton Fringe in the first or second week of July 2018, as well as making our debut at the Greater Manchester Fringe that same month.

FURTHER DETAILS

– We operate as an amateur company seeking to create challenging work rather than chase a profit, but we feel that nobody should be left out of pocket for their creative efforts. As such, there is a nominal fee available for each role.

– We cover as many Fringe expenses as possible, including travel to Buxton & Greater Manchester and accommodation for those two festivals (not Edinburgh.)
